FAQ
Questions, answered plainly
What to expect from a consultation, how online sessions work and how follow-up is arranged.
Do you offer online consultations?
Yes. Consultations are available online for clients anywhere in Pakistan, as well as in person at Ittefaq Hospital (Trust), Model Town, Lahore, Monday to Friday, 6 to 9 PM. Online sessions take place on Zoom. The assessment and plan are the same either way.
What should I bring to my consultation?
If you have them, bring recent blood test results, a list of your current medicines and supplements, and any advice your doctor has given you. A rough note of what you ate over two or three typical days is also very useful. You do not need to prepare anything else.
Do you provide personalised meal plans?
Yes, where a meal plan is helpful. Plans are built around your health needs, the food you normally eat, your schedule and your household, rather than a fixed template. Some people do better with flexible guidelines than a strict plan, and we will agree what suits you.
Do you work with medical conditions?
Yes. Clinical nutrition support is available for conditions such as diabetes, PCOS, kidney disease (CKD), fatty liver, high blood pressure, raised cholesterol and digestive problems, as well as during pregnancy and for children. Nutrition care works alongside your doctor's treatment, not instead of it, and you should not change prescribed medicines without medical advice.
How often will I need follow-up?
It depends on your goals and health needs. Many people find a follow-up every few weeks helpful at first, then less often as things settle. We will agree a schedule together at the end of your first consultation.
What happens after my first consultation?
You will leave with a clear plan and agreed next steps. Between appointments you can put the plan into practice, and at follow-up we review how it is working and adjust it where needed.
Can I bring a family member?
Yes. It often helps to bring the person who does most of the cooking at home, especially when changes affect family meals.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No referral is needed. If you are under the care of a doctor for a medical condition, it is helpful to share any relevant advice or results.
